Youth in Action is the EU programme for young people. It aims to inspire a sense of active European citizenship, solidarity and tolerance among young Europeans and to involve them in shaping the Union’s future.*
European Citizenship, Participation of young people, Cultural Diversity and Inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities are its priorities.
The Youth in Action Programme is implemented through realization of youth projects, which are structured into five different actions:
– Action 1 – Youth for Europe
– Action 2 – European Voluntary Service
– Action 3 – Youth in the World
– Action 4 – Youth Support Systems
– Action 5 – Support for European Cooperation in the youth field
Actions 2 and 3 are also open for young people from Partner Countries (including the countries from South-East Europe). This means that young people and youth organizations from SEE can implement (or participate in) international youth exchanges, EVS (long-term volunteering) projects, training courses and other types of projects in the youth field.
Organizations from Programme Countries (EU + EFTA + Turkey) apply their projects to the National Agencies in their countries, while organizations from SEE Partner Countries send their projects proposals to the Executive Agency in Brussels. The next deadline for submitting project proposals to the Youth in Action Programme is 1st of June.
