1. Training Course “Youth 4 IG Solidarity”
28th of June to 5th of July 2013
Struga, Macedonia

Summary: As 2012 is a European Year of Active Ageing and Solidarity, we decided to contribute by providing a training for youth/social workers and youth leaders linking youth work, active participation and intergenerational solidarity. Thus, the main aim of this project is to provide youth and social workers and youth leaders with strategies, tools and methods in order to increase the active participation of people from all ages, especially through doing intergenerational youth work with young and elderly people. This will be achieved be achieved through providing the participants with theoretical knowledge and real practical experience of doing intergenerational youth work, as well as with space to share positive practices and project ideas, and an opportunity to link all the learning with the reality of their local communities.

Profile of participants:
– Above 16 years old
– Interested in the topic of intergenerational solidarity and youth work
– Youth workers, trainers, social workers and youth leaders
– Experienced in the field of non-formal education.

2. Youth Exchange “European Express”
5th to 16th of July 2013
Brezice (Slovenia) – Belgrade, Krusevac (Serbia) – Skopje (Macedonia)

Summary: The youth exchange European Express: A Balkan Journey Through The World Of Freedom Of Speech will take place from the 5th of July until the 16th of July. We will start the exchange in Brezice, Slovenia. From there we will travel through Serbia to Skopje, Macedonia, the last city we will visit in this youth exchange. The project will involve 35 participants from Belgium, Bosnia, Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and The Netherlands.
The participants will explore the theme freedom of speech and its different sides, rights and obligations. They will do this in different settings, using their creative expressions in several ways.

Profile of participants:
– Youngsters between the age of 18 and 25.
– Does not mind to travel by train and unexpected changes
– Affinity with the topic of Freedom of Speech
– Enjoys discussing issues in groups and likes to express him/herself in creative ways

3. Youth Exchange “Responsible Youth = Healthy Future”
16th to 24th of July 2013
Struga, Macedonia

Summary: This project aims to promote young people to think more seriously about their health and lifestyle, analyze their habits in doing sports and moreover, to pay more attention on the situation of their friends and family. Partners of the project wish to promote a change of mentality among youth: to let the participants to realize that living in a healthy and responsible way is not an old-fashioned or something for strange outsiders. In addition, this project aims to motivate the participants to compare and contrast habits and cultures in Europe and develop an open-minded attitude towards the different. Young people from Macedonia and Estonia will participate in this project.

– Interested in healthy lifestyles, sports and outdoor activities

4. Training Course “Underground Voices”
23rd of August to 30th of August, 2013
Eindhoven, the Netherlands

Summary: This training course aims to investigate the creative expression of civic engagement in Europe. This will be reached by the establishment of a transnational and cross-sectorial learning platform, in which methodologies and best practices will be shared. The focus will be on methodologies of mapping underground voices and connecting local communities in various countries. During the training, we will use the method of non-formal education, self-directed learning, which means the participants are responsible for their own learning process. The trainers will facilitate knowledge sharing between participants and inspire them to think out of the box.

Profile of participants:
– Above 18 years old
– Interested in the topics and methodology tackled by the training
– Experienced in the field of non-formal education.

5. Training Course “Discrimin-Action”
9th to 15th of September 2013
Château de Bellevue, Presles (close to Paris), France

Summary: Main objective of the training is to increase youth awareness of the fight against discrimination and give them tools to facilitate the acceptance of differences, notably in preparation for the expansion of the European Union. At the same time, the training focuses on sharing and developing new tools, in particular the forum theatre, to build the capacity of participants to put in place some local actions to promote these topics. The theme is reflection through the forum theatre on the acceptance of differences and the fight against discrimination within the framework of the enlargement of the European Union to the Balkans.

– Interested in the topics and methodology tackled by the training: fight against discrimination, forum theatre etc.
– Experienced in the field of non-formal education.

7. Training Course “Safe Youth”
21st to 30th of September 2013
Sovata, Romania

Summary: Goals of the training:
1. To enable participants, to design, prepare and deliver safe activities in Youth in Action projects.
2. To teach the participants new outdoor technical elements and activities and to gain the necessary expertise in order to be able to use these elements in a safe way.
Objectives of the training:
1. risk assessment, risk management, safety concerns on youth programs, trainings, exchanges.
2. to learn to use climbing equipment (harnesses, knots, ropes)
3. to learn to belay and to learn to teach belaying
4. to be able to build and use Low Ropes Course
5. to be able to build and use mobile High Ropes Course elements
6. to be able to organize overnight expeditions

– Above 18 years old
– Youth workers, trainers, social workers and youth leaders
